Good bakery bread-sliced sourdough or Italian
Honey or smoked sliced turkey
Swiss or cheddar cheese
Raspberry preserves or jelly
Fresh pears
Spread preserves on each slice of bread, stack thinly sliced pears, turkey and cheese. If you like you can sprinkle some shredded cheese on the outside of the bread or even spread some butter on them. Bake in oven at 250 five to ten minutes or however long it takes to lightly toast your bread and melt the cheese. It’s delicious! I had it for dinner yesterday

SHANNI MAE'S SUPER SANDWICH
What You will need:
baby spinach
shredded carrot
cabbage, thinly sliced (I use coleslaw mix, but don't put the dressing on!!!)
tomato
small jar of marinated artichoke hearts
salami
provolone cheese
Round loaf of bread- I prefer the pumpernikel & white loaf.
mustard
vinagrette
To Prepare:
Cut loaf of bread in half (horizontally), scoop out crumbs, but make sure to leave a hefty crust.
Spread a bit of mustard on bread. Layer on ingredients. I start with salami and then add layers of veg dressed lightly (and I mean lightly!) with vinagrette topped with a layer of cheese. Do not be stingy, layer the sucker up good and high! Top with the other half of the bread and wrap tightly with plastic wrap. Place your beautiful sandwich between 2 plates and weight the top one with a large can of tomatoes (or a brick ;) ) and leave it in the fridge for a few hours. When read, slice into wedges and enjoy. I make this quite a bit during the summer and the crew is always impressed. I also make a veg version and just use extra cheese and more veggies.

NACHO CHEESE DORITOS QUESADILLA
Using a big high powered food processor, slice frozen steak that
had been microwaved for only one minute to cut 2mm or 3 mm slices...
then refrozen in small batches in sandwich bags.
Individual bag contents can be thrown into boiling water and cooked
for two minutes then mac and cheese noodles thrown in to the water
with the sliced steak till the macaroni is done.. i use Lawry's
seasoned salt and java black pepper to season it... while it is
cooking .. then drain it and do the cheese sauce
For steaks: London Broil. I use a sharp knife to cut slices
halfway through at 90 degree angles...
then flip it over and cut it at diagnols to that... this way it
stays together while cooking...
I usually kill it in water to start the cooking till it gets
partially done again with the Lawry's salt and black pepper.. java
black pepper is really hard to find...a light touch of Chun King soy
sauce.. this is the one with the tiny red cap and tapered bottle...
not Kikoman... or any others.. used to be jan u wine brand...
I have trouble with this... people can smell it from a long ways
away and have been known to eat my whole plate of steak while i
am out of the room....
Grilled pastrami sandwiches on french rolls are so much better
when they are mayonaisse only,no mustard or pickles They are
best when sliced thin and grilled in a bit of water spilled on the
grill so it is sort of steamed...on grilled french rolls...

BACON,SWISS and EGG
This is a very simple one that I came up with when I lived in Philadelphia, I ordered it so often at a local Diner that they ended up putting it on the menu. A sliced hard boiled egg Swiss cheese and bacon on a Kaiser roll or your favorite bread with mayonnaise very tasty.
